Don't stop!

It's a large fiery ball at the center of our universe, but that's not important right now!

That's right, the sun is out here in New Hampster. The actual sun is actually shining. Huzzah!

Seeing blue skies, sunshine, & sure signs of Spring have brightened my mood considerably. As such, I've got a super awesome video for you today to make up for the world's most dreary music video I put up yesterday (sorry about that). Trust me when I tell you that YOU WILL F'ING LOVE THIS.

Some of you might remember the fun marching band version of this OK Go song that Cary put up on LOTD a while back. This is the newer (way cooler, IMO) version that the band just released, and it is another one of their fantastic continuous shot masterpieces.

Check it out!

Was that super-happy-fun times or WHAT?

Yeah, I thought so too.

Speaking of continuous shots, tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day. Doing anything fun?

That's funny, because I spent the first bit of the video wondering why their jumpsuits were painted.

I'll be making corned beef and cabbage, and drinking Guinness to the disgust of my daughter, who has no taste in beer whatsoever.

And there may be whisk(e)y. Need to see if I have anything Irish.

Who am I kidding? I'll drink it, Irish or not.

And I love Rube Goldberg devices. I've been collecting bits and bobs for years just to make something so fascinating a reality in my own garage.

Of course, it will be far creepier, because I love folk art. And Lori doesn't.

You may have guessed this already, but I really don't feel like working today.

Heh heh...whoops. I had the wrong mental image for "continuous shots".

I'll just show myself out now...

And don't call me Shirley.

I'm going to celebrate St. Patrick's Day by watching old Notre Dame football games on ESPN Classic.

That was AWESOME! :)
I loved watching the sequence and how creative some of them were (flags! umbrellas! They really broke that working tv!)

I am Scot/Irish, so I will be doing my traditional wearing my green, smiling like a crazy person, drinking Guiness or Glenlivet, because Celtic has many options (Elliott) and fielding all the questions my daughter has been flinging at me about why we didn't do more, why we aren't having a party, etc., since her kindergarten talks up holidays WAY too much.

no cabbage in my kitchen; P.U. potatoes are traditional food of my people, too, y'know.

LOVE the video! Although at the beginning, I thought the red on the first guy's jumpsuit was blood and I was frightened.

We had our corned beef, etc. on Saturday. No way I'm going through all that hassle on a weeknight!

Oops. I missed the final question. I'll be eating cake.

I love OK GO! Fahbulous video dahlink.

I am doing absolutely nothing festive tomorrow. Well I'll probably wear green and drink a beer after work, but that's about the extent of my celebrating. Gotta work too early Thursday to have TOO much fun. :)

Frank - yeah, me too! It actually reminded me of that fad in the 80's when everything was paint-splattered on purpose.

Elliott - YUM! I plan to do the same thing. I wish I could buy half a head of cabbage though, since I'm the only one who will eat it.

And I'd love to see your scary version of this device! Folk art. Heh.

Mjenks - I didn't see a money shot anywhere! boo.

Elliott - HA!!!

Dev-V - That sounds... um. Well, you have fun now.

MtnMama - I'm a mutt but can claim half Scottish descent, but not a lick of Irish. Doesn't stop me from celebrating however! Everyone's Irish on St. Paddy's day!

Liz - Sorry I almost frightened you! :) I agree, it is too much work for a weeknight, but it's sooo yummy! It's worth it!

Frank - THOSE are awesome! haha!! Seriously disturbing.

Salt - So glad you likey! Same here, can't get too rowdy. Though I have the day off and will be spending the lunch hour with my friend at an Irish pub, so who knows where the day will go from there....

Goldberg devices will forever remind me of the game Mousetrap. Except it never seemed to work right.

Cool vid. I like their vids a lot more than their music. "Ok, go" is what I say when one of their songs comes on the radio, and then I change the station.

Awhile back I posted a video of Big and Baby Jayhawk doing their version of the treadmill one. Loved it.

Tomorrow? Just another day for me. I'll be sporting my "Rock Chalk Jayhawk" shirt and starting the countdown to the game Thursday. I've got March Madness, and I've got it bad.

glad that march madness isn't like herpes and spreading like wildfire.

Having a little outbreak in your parts, Stacie. And by "parts", I mean, eh, you know what I mean.

That video is great!!!

Stacie - Thanks, sistah! I'd like to thank the Academy....

Cary - Mousetrap would be a great game if it didn't have so many gosh-darn pieces! Of course, that's me talking from the mom P.O.V. because I'm always picking them up and finding them in odd places. Not to mention the marble/choking hazard....

Samsmama - March madness? Hmm, not familiar with that term. Sorry. Is that like Spring Fever?

Mike - Thanks! Glad you like.

I love that video. I've been trying to figure out if there's a quick cut at 2:28... still not sure, but it's cool that you can see the camera guy chasing that ball in it's reflection. It's all amazing... and oddly gives me the feeling of an ulcer.

Tomorrow I'm wearing green eye shadow. That's as much effort as I'm puttin' into it.

I love this video! I was just watching this a couple days ago, along with the marching band version. I love both videos.

I love the song actually. I think I prefer the marching band version by a slim margin, but this is awesome.

Saw these guys at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium a couple years back. They pretty much crushed it (their set, not this song alas - the show was pre-that).
